Retired physician/researcher impressed by author's grasp of bacteriology, epidemiology and immunology of the plague. An entertaining, moderately paced novel. A delightful blend of past meets present.
Time travel can boggle your mind. This brings both world together cleanly. Fantasy but enjoyable. Keeps you guessing.

Could have been a lot more emotive with the characters developed them more they felt a little flat
The story continues with the displaced pirates and the quests of the resort succumbing to the effects of the plaque

Wellwritten with two small exceptions the author is confused between flora and fauna

The author at least twice has the characters hiding behind the fauna which makes me wonder just how many animals were in the vicinity
