Ive no idea if you can detach the switch itself as one i didnt want to turn off all the electricity and two didnt know if this would be possible anyway and cant seek an electrician due to the current lockdown situation

Nevertheless it does the job as can be seen and avoids you having two light switches and unnecessary pressing the wrong switch and turning lights off
