Unfortunately, it doesn't work very well on salad dressing stains or on any oil-based stains.

If you apply it to fresh stain it does a very good job :)i tried it twice, (once on a red berry stain) and it removed the stain completely both times

The only reason i gave a 4 star is because after a while with it, the outside label of the pencil start to erase and it looks really old and ugly.
