Pros

Side pockets are right-sized with a bit of stretch for a sm/med water bottle in one, and sunglass case in the other. The l-zipper plus the zipper at the top of the pack are ingenious. Front top hardshell compartment has been getting used frequently.

Black without a lot of cords, straps, designs, logos. The asphalt color is unique. This backpack meets all of my criteria and more.

Reviewer says it blends in well. Perfect for commuting. Carries two ipads, a macbook pro, and an ipad pro.

Cons

The bag opens oddly and the hard section for sun glasses or whatever is part of the front flap and that causes the bag to flop open. It barely zips up like it's going to bust. As is the two clasps that keep the main flap down are flimsy.

It is true that the laptop will not fit into the side access but it does fit into the internal pocket through the top of the pack
