Pros

It is well designed, sturdy and keeps the bike firmly anchored in the bed. They are stable while traveling, even over rutted out dirt roads. Even on windee twisty roads your bike remains a bright and stable.

This rack installs in minutes. Took about 10 minutes to configure for my truck. They are quick and easy to install in the bed of my tacoma.

Short bed tacoma 5' with tail gate open. I drive a '04 tacoma with a 6' bed and ride a mariachi ss which leaves about 1. I use this product with a6' long bed truck (nissan frontier) and it works.

This rack is fantastic. These bike racks are awesome. Since they're not permanent they work in any truck.

The rack mounts at tailgate in minutes. It uses the tailgate as a wheel stop. If there is no front fender on your bike, this is the best pickup truck rack where you do not have to remove the front wheel. Close the tail gate, then tighten until snug.

Cons

This is sure one expensive little clamp! It claims to fit wheels up to 29, but my 28' wheels didn't actually fully sit in the insta-gator. At least amazon is good about returns, but even so my experience with this item is you will be out the high cost...  Read More

I had to improvise and add a metal strap that attached the rack to the truck similar to how their rubber straps attach to ensure the whole device with bike couldnt be removed with a sharp knife

I dont see why they dont provide steel reinforced rubber straps

    Installs breaks down in seconds

Opt for the key lock cylinder

Both bike and rack did not fit into my truck really sad about that

Bike is snug between front of bed and tailgate with this device and it does not allow the bike to tip

A little on the expensive side and releasing the ratchets after they are secured can sometimes be a bit painful requires a little force

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I have to support the bike by the back wheel because of a short bed and even though the ratchet arm is reversible i found that it will only work on the side with the cog leaving only about a 14 inch between the derailleur and the arm
