This also has a red lens ringing it so that others see red light from the sides

Whatever it is that they are using for plastic on this light is premium stuff this is not a dollar store item

The battery compartment and clips are good also with a feel that grips they are not hard shiny plastic

Even though i just gave away two headlamps i still have over a dozen and when i compare the output of them this model falls somewhere in the middle of them
