There is no question these will last literally a life time so the initial cost certainly higher than average is really a bargain when averaged over say 25 years
I recommend them to anyone on the hefty side and bicyclists who are not extreme weight weenies
After extensive research i settled on the thompson line of steel seat posts years ago and have used them on all my bikes
