Pros
It beats the zojirushi on price by half, and the contigo on the lid design and durability. The newer version is imho a considerable improvement in all of these areas.

There is no compromise on the actual water retention it is just aesthetics with the plastic bottom
Packaging/appearance
Holds heat for a long time and can be put into my lunch bag without the worry of leaking
And it lacks a holder ring on the bottle too
