The edges along the side also help in its gripability if you are sweaty from exercise if you are a student or are someone who wears a backpack this bottle its great because it is small enough to fit in the side pouch convenient stowagecons after numerous years of rough use the flip top eventually cracked and broke

It will work as expected but eventually the button may stop working or the metal ring will pop out
