Pros

The controls are a bit clunky, but easy to learn and once you've got that down, it's easy-peasy. Very pleased with the product and customer support.

Both components are bulkier than the 09b but for me that's not an issue. This unit beeps and the digital display -- that's why it's bulkier -- shows the current temp instantly. Only real complaint is the pre-set temps are not correct.

Cons

The sensor reads hhh for temperature most of the time. The oven temp affects the reading. It shiat itself and only displays dashes on the screen.

Also the probes from the old tp09 work with the tp07s as does the old tp09 receiver

The wireless display works from inside the house while the smoker does it’s job outside

Competitiveness

I probably would prefer rechargable batteries but 4 aa batteries work just fine

I ve had my thermopro wireless thermometer for 3 weeks so far
