Ellie midwood’s books always impress me because they are so well researched and that history is seamlessly woven into her stories. Midwood knows how to capture a reader with her flawless background research and riveting storytelling.

Not terribly believable klaus barbie and her escape. Supposedly the main character, who is jewish, exposes the maid to this woman as her best childhood friend. The maid is immediately fired by the mistress and she is hired.
