Pros

I love that it has a hardcover & is spiral bound. I wish my other instruction books were spiral bound so they lay flat!

The best colored pencil guide i've come across. The author gives clear and thorough descriptions of the different types of colored pencils and gives me the proper terms for the core and casing.

This book is excellent for the complete beginning artist who is looking to draw and paint with colored pencils. The book has a lot of good advice and demonstrations for those a learning the art of colored pencil layering.

Cons

There are no links for downloading line art so i can do the demonstrations. It's not like i can trace or print the picture on the kindle screen. The website listed in the book is invalid. As others have pointedly noted there are many spelling mistakes... Read More

The purported unique translucency of colored pencil is listed as one of greene's four laws. Don't waste your money, yeah lots of nice about layering and burnishing, back grounds.
