It has a nice mix of beginner, intermediate and advanced techniques. The book also covers specialty techniques i was aware of but had not learned yet. But from a beginners perspective, need to know some basics and terminology.

This book has great color pictures of each square with a color diagram of how to make it. There were pictures, written instructions and visual instructions for each pattern. This makes it necessary to rewrite the pattern instructions.

Cons

Print is too small and ink is too light. Most of the patterns are either incomplete or unclear. The symbols for reading the chart aren't legible.
