This cookbook is a must for those that still like to cook from scratch. This is a book for confident cooks who like to go more by instinct than exact measurements.

Cons
Don't even look at the recipe for tarte tatin (julia actually explains how to make it, stanley does not) the recipe for the most generic of marinara sauce (cheap and doesn't taste like anything) the dessert recipes, sadly, disappoint.
