The girls have recently been expelled from their last school so they are starting at a new school and that is where destiny meets quin the majority of this book is told from destiny and quins povs

Quin knows about the witch world because his mom is a witch and he shares a few classes with destiny and wants to get to know her better but they end up not getting off on the right foot so they both end up being standoffish with each other but there is a war brewing with the warlocks so they are going to have to get over their problems with each other and find a way to stop the warlocks from killing off the witches

Fate and destiny have been told that they need to train for a big battle coming up and that each girl will lead a team of witches separately and they must go without their family and without their boyfriends damien and quin so both girls are having a hard time with being separated from everyone especially each other but they both know they need to do what they can to save the witches from being killed by the warlocks
