Pros & Cons
Pros
This one is mild, relaxing, smooth & there is no bitter taste. Stands up to repeated infusions. This tea has such a nice flavor.
It's still in great condition almost a year after i purchased it. Very nice presentation. Nice and smooth. Will buy again.
Not too grassy not too fishy. Label says it has an oceanic taste and it does. Taste imho is good, not great, as compared to peet's organic sencha, but is less expensive.
Cons
The smell of this tea reminds me of dried alfalfa hay. The taste is dull, weak and more like a cheaper chinese variant of green tea. It tastes like the stuff you can find at the convenience stores in japan -- that is, cheap *.
The leaves are too fine like a garnish and result in very quick steeps which the full extraction of flavor cannot occur. It's a very weak tasting sencha, perhaps this tin lost its flavour from age. Too grassy. No flavor and no shape.
Highlights
Quality
It has a mild but aromatic taste and the quality is superb
I was very pleased with the taste of this tea and plan to make it my go to green tea
Obviously this is just a matter of taste many people look for that very quality
I just wish the tao of tea would offer this sencha in bulk form
Packaging/appearance
The packaging is a really nice tin which keeps the tea fresh
First of all i love the packaging on this tea
