The voice of the villain resonates throughout as he formulates the rationale for his action. Patricia highsmith is a woman before her time.
They're also comparable in the sense that they're fast-paced, cleverly-written stories. That, to me, is the most gripping part of this story.
It is masterfully told and a pleasure to read. It is 271 pages that is just brimming with story. On to bk 2.

Its somewhat sickening to be trapped in ripleys mind throughout the novel yet one also finds themselves hoping he doesnt get caught if not outright rooting for him to get out of the world hes created
