It was (almost) worth the price just for the first two chapters-wow!

I have probably 40 to 60 unread - unheard titles, & an additional couple hundred books that i could re-read if desired, but after just a glimpse of the survivor, i knew there was no way i could resist.

The author took the totally unique-to-me path of changing things entirely about 1/3rd in, and then doing so again in the final 1/3rd of the story.
