First, there's a little plastic ridge around the hole where the plug goes that can get in the way of an item being plugged into the other socket.

One down side (but not a deal breaker): the top portion that covers the outlet slightly obstructs the second outlet.

I am all about someone coming up with something clever and making money on it, but this is really a $7 item and not a $14 item.
