This was a very very good retelling of a classic fairy tale in the same vein as fables by bill willingham

All of these scenarios are explored so succinctly that making this into a longer prose novel would have been a disservice to the story

Riddell is a very talents artist that manages to cram a great deal of detail into his work and there are several splash pages that show off riddells talents as an artist and add urgency depth and meaning to gaimans script
