Pros
The early animation is bright and colourful without being overbearing.
Looking back at the early days of the simpsons can be quite jarring for anyone used to the latter seasons and modern digital animation. Our grandson is at the age of liking the simpson so rather than him watching all recent we treat him to series 1.
After being humiliated at his works annual family picnic, homer decides that family therapy is the answer. Marge takes up bowling to spite homer's thoughtless birthday present (a bowling ball) and meets a frenchman, who sweeps her off her feet.

Marvin monroe the itchy scratchy show plus lou and eddie but as with smithers lou is the wrong colour as he is shown as yellow instead of africanamerican in later episodes

The season dvd set ends with episode 13 titled “some enchanted evening” which should of been the first ever episode of the simpsons but was moved to the last due to the very bad animation work and the fact they had to reanimate 70 of the episode
