You will have to keep the warming mode on to ensure the water stays hot as long as you need it since the unit is not insulated to hold in the heat

Second and more of a problem for me the keephot function only works for 30 minutes or until you lift the kettle off the base which always shuts off the electronics

Given sharper image claims this system has some kind of protection circuit so your kettle will not be heated if theres no water inside i dont understand why they cant make this function last longer than 30 minutes

Ive had the adagio teas 3 utilitea variabletemperature 30ounce electric kettle for a few years now and its done nicely although it doesnt hold a ton of water and the temperatures can vary
