The book is boring. I'm actually appalled that this was a finalist for the pulitzer.
Much of what carr writes is conjecture, and much of the remainder is simply wrong. Because carr's thesis is wrong, he contradicts himself every two chapters. Carr's observations are indeed shallow, and he's a hypocrite to boot.
