Shades are beings that can ghost -- in other words, become invisible and fly around. The humans of that dimension *hate* shades, and try to kill them. Yet, not enough to keep me reading and finishing the book.

I kept turning my brain in circles contemplating about the differences between the chicagos

Overall i was mostly happy with the world building i would have liked some more information on exactly how the alter world was created

The friends had some oneliners but they mostly fell flat and in no way could they compete with the dry humor of the bee

And then rutkoski hit me with the poetry

Another romantic interest is thrown into the mix but didnt really serve much to the overall storyline
