I think this approach is ultimately more entertaining and makes for a better learning experience than 1000+ pages books full of 2-pages examples, that bores even the most diligent student. With this new book, it's much clearer.

Cons

The formating of the kindle edition leaves much to be desired. The code is horribly formated and wraps lines even in the smaller font sizes. This is not a well organized introduction to ruby that builds logically.
