Told with plenty of flashbacks, the roughest draft quickly establishes tension by forcing readers to speculate about what happened. Normally flashbacks drive me crazy, but the use of the flashbacks parallel where the characters are in the story.
The roughest draft is the story of co-authors and best friends katrina and nathan. Katrina is *comfortable* in her relationship, content to never put words to paper for the masses to consume again. Nathan and katrina are successful co-writers.
Cons
There was no comeuppance for the villain in the story. They are basically incapable of communicating verbally. I was annoyed by their immature decisions.

Nathans agent told him unless he writes this book with katrina the publisher doesnt want anything else from only him

This book switches back and forth from present to past weaving a story for us and bringing to light why these two have fallen apart

They always communicated through the pages of their books but you cant hide behind a story and have the fairy tale without the messy parts
