Pros & Cons
Pros
The pilgrimage is a valuable and inspiring book that provides a new perspective on the topic of inner journey and pilgrimage. Great depth of spiritual meaning. It is inspiring and very, very spiritual. For those who are open to unique ideas about the ... Read More
The pilgrimage is the story of paulo coelho's journey on the road to santiago. This book is not a guide to the ancient pilgrimage of the camino de santiago, but a quest for one man's path in life. The author's writing style is both poetic and evocativ... Read More
His story is laced with various meditative exercises that would likely enchant a new ager living on the west coast. He describes some of the religious visions he has, that sometimes seem like he was having a trip off some psychedelic drugs.
Cons
As a travelogue, it is worthless. The exercises are trite and unnecessary. On the other hand, they also critize bicyclists.

The pilgrimage is a ridiculous confection of half thought out semi spiritual nonsense. Too occult for me.

I only listened to this book instead of reading it because i find it difficult to sit down and make time to read but i can listen for hours if im out on a walk plus i had a couple weeks left of a free subscription and wanted to get the most use out of it as i could before it ended since i cant currently afford it otherwise

I dont believe so heck i read the other book multiple times before i ever heard of this one but because of that i did see where it would ultimately go but in no way did that ruin anything or even lessen the effect of the story

However some readers might find the authors reflections and observations on the journey too personal and subjective
