Pros
Mystery with ultra-powerful villains seeking to eliminate the one witness who can unravel their plans. But is a very different london as there are lots of less people around. There might be spoilers.
Cons
His overuse of unconventional grammar obfuscates his subject. Uses new terminology with no explanation and it’s only by the end of the book that you understand what they are.
Structure is weak. Nothing resonates and characters go nowhere.
No matter how bad a book is i almost always flog myself to finish it. Every chapter i managed to get through was a painful slog. It's a bad sign when you push yourself to finish a novel just for completeness.
The first 10% of the book is needlessly obscure. This book is like one gigantic static noise that will give you headache.

The characters here are very thinly developed and forgettable and jn and spouse did a great job at developing those characters and a superior narrative out of the meager narrative bones of this story

Thing like describing how a character walks through a room or gets from place to place which don’t even provide any kind of contextual color to highlight the strangeness of the environment
