As adults we assume that they will simply use it however it takes work and monitoring it will not do the job on its own

If you use them on the skinny pens with caps they prevent the cap from being put back on unless you reposition the grip closer to the center of the pen

Also they will melt and leave a sticky residue on whatever they are touching if you leave them in your backpack in a hot car the melting is only enough to make other things sticky thoughit isnt enough to deform the grip or make it useless

These are to big and bulky for smaller children
