Pros & Cons
Pros
These are great for chopping meat and vegies. Great for chopping small amounts of celery, cabbage, and carrots. Works well when making salad bowls for 2 people to do one veggie at a time.
Cons
I was seduced by the infomercial. The problem is that it's way overpriced. The other pampered chef product easily gets the job done.
Chopper defective. To load it, you either need to pull the rubber cap off, which as mentioned is loose. It is thus loud and it makes my arm tired.
The plastic ifs cheap and flimsy. The little rubber cap is already loose and will fall off spilling the contents all over. The one i got however keeps twisting off, the clear ring falls off and then the whole thing dismantles.
Highlights
Quality
Was afraid the quality would have lessened over the years but i have been pleasantly surprised
This product works great cuts way down on chopping time in the kitchen
Price
Nothing not to like about it except the price is 2x as high but one of those times when its more than worth it
Packaging/appearance
I loved it used it for 16 yrs until the clear plastic sleeve cracked
Competitiveness
However the only reason i did not give it a 5star rating is that it can be a bit challenging to clean
We had a pampered chef food chopper for 30 yrs and it worked great
The food processor tends to mash onions and to reduce some nuts to powder while leaving others in overlarge chunks
