The clamp is very sturdy and made from durable polymer plastic. I use it to clip to my laptop and it evens nicely clips to books. I have it clipped to a table to help tired eyes!

Durability of the batteries is very poor. It's out of warranty and amazon won't allow my email to the seller to go through. The light seems to work fine, it’s just not bright. Needless to say, worthless.
