Pros & Cons

The AI used to provide these results are constantly improving. These results might change.

Pros

Easy to learn and definitely frustrating and a blast to play. It is about 6 minutes long, and fills in a lot of gaps in the written instructions.

Cons

Some calamity cards kill off players with no chance for remedy first. If you have anything less than 5 people, you'll need the deck stacked in a very specific way to ever win. It's very rare that a player is eliminated from the game before the end.

The rulesheet is extremely ambiguous. The directions are so ambiguous and poorly thought out that at times we were just guessing what they wanted us to do. The gameplay is sadly simple and dull. Sensible rules need to be better thought through.

The oregon trail is the first game i've played that does not improve on sticking a needle in between your big toe nail and * a wall for the same length of time.

Gratuitously complicated but no real possibility for meaningful strategy.

This game is bad. It’s a mess. Problem is that *.

I think this is more of a nostalgic game for those that grew up playing the computer version and it probably isnt something that we will play often
