Yes it's gritty, yet it tingles. Tingles for a short while but has made my skin appear brighter.
Cons
Hyaluronic acid serum by the ordinary. This cream firstly stings upon application and as other reviewers have said is gritty when applied. Leaves a greasy layer on skin too.

There is a little heat and grittiness to the cream but the cream is light and glides on
