Pros

It reduces the harsh vibrations you get from taking footsteps, and reducing the more gradual swaying is just a matter of fine tuning. I'm just getting the hang of it when it comes to balancing because i will adjust it and it feels like it moves and th...  Read More

Amateur short film maker is amazed by the quality of the camera. Practice improves this and it does a fine job when you have got it right.

It looks pretty bulky at first, but folds up to be more compact than the battery powered gimbals. Gimbal action feels a tad rough, as if the ball and/or the socket are not as smooth as they could be.

While assembling and after assembling, it's easy to see how well it's made. The sturdy but streamlined construction gives me confidence that it's going to provide lifelong service. The build is sturdy enough to be used by middle schoolers.

You can use it for everything from a cellphone to something of the size of a canon d series slr. It works well with my bridge camera too, an fz1000. I'll be using a mobile phone rig kitted out with a mic and light with mine.

Cons

I'm not sure how it works with a heavier dslr, but i was unable to make this work for my m50. When it says no more than 2 lbs - that is an exaggeration.

Quality

Quality product and works great to stabilize the camera

Im very impressed with the build quality

Even with the weight it did not tire my hand out too much

The biggest problem with the gimble is it is hard to get the balance exactly right

Price

Im only a beginnerhobbyist videographer so i couldnt justify that price

Packaging/appearance

Just assembled the stabilizer out of the box

Competitiveness

I just tried with my nikon d7000 and it works great

I have purchased one of these types of stabilizers in the past for about half the price

Had i not been the one making the purchase i would assume that it went at a higher price point
