Pros

The obstacle is the way by ryan holiday is a practical guide to stoicism. Holiday gives insight into great philosophers like seneca & aurelius. The book complements classic stoicism well as a modern, contemporary take.
Easy to read. Nothing to dislike. Every leader, salesperson, and parent needs to read this. A good read with some good, useful lessons.
Cons
The author's grasp of history is at best superficial and likely built upon the popular movies and media that he at one point derides. Several of the anecdotes/examples in this book are just not true and/or highly sensationalized.
