If any book deserves a happy ending, this is it. This is the second book i read by this author and boy she did not disappoint. Can't wait to read the next book.

I became engrossed in the story of alice, her little sister and their alcoholic mother. Margaret the mother couldn't cope with the sudden death of her husband.

The story gave me all the feels and i connected easily with the characters
However the writing is sensitive and also shines with the power of love and hope
I was absolutely disgusted with the character margaret
Her mother could not cope with the loss she could not cope with life

I liked going back and forth between each woman and the time frames because it felt as if you saw all the sides of the story and it showed how each of them dealt with the horrifying circumstances they were in
