Main character isabelle is a modern teenage cliche & is not interesting or likable. The characters are not really likable, and the history part did not feel believable. No real edge or believability to characters or storytelling.
The writing is so hackneyed there is a failure to connect to the rossignol sisters. Isabelle has no training beyond being stubborn, and yet becomes an instant savior.
The writing feels very repetitive and cliche. I object to writers whose books base their appeal solely on emotional manipulation of the reader.
The author seems to subscribe to the idea of the clean wehrmacht which is evidenced by the “kindly *” featured in this novel. The entire novel reads as a harlequin romance combined with generic wwii devices. The only color this author cares for is blu... Read More
