Norse mythologies are full of mysticism and unexpected metaphors. The island of the ocean god, p. Is the most famous norse deity. I have read many mythologies but definitely the norse ones have something special.
A wonderful escape from the drab everyday stuff. Highly recommend this book. Buy it. This book is an absolute gem.
Cons
Most of the stories in this book involve people being christianized and seems to demonize the old religion. I am disapointed that this. Puts a damper on the book.

This book is not a deep scholarlike study of myths and legends it is an easy to read compilation of classics from early northern europe
