Pros & Cons
Pros
Reading level is for 5th-7th graders but all ages can listen to this book and will love it. It's a classic that continues to leave a lasting impression, even after all these years. I'm sure my bright little boy will understand, someday.
Lewis captures with imagination and wonder a mythical narnia. Talking animals, magical potions, special swords, fantastic creature huge and small. The lion is an allegory for the savior; some of the feelings are just too rich for words.
Had never read an adventure so endearing and interesting. The adventure they go on is awe-inspiring.
This book, part of a series, stands out as the best one. I know there is a debate about which order to read the books in for the series, but i have heard that prince caspian is the next one. The book details always make it better.
