Pros
This puzzle is perfect for 2-3 yr olds. This is wonderful for my preschooler. It's perfect for 5th graders.
With the larger size frame and some wise choices in combining states onto one piece. New york/massachusetts/rhode island/connecticut are one piece, etc. My 4 year old loves this puzzle.
Pieces are not at all flimsy and are good sized. I understand given the irregularity of the shapes (part of the allure) that may not be possible to reproduce them in that medium.
Bought 2 of these. Good quality puzzle. Wonderful puzzle piece. Love this puzzle.
Cons
The board itself is made of pressed wood with printed stickers glued on. The frame was made of wood but the pieces were pressed cardboard.
The shape of each new england state and other states/jurisdiction apparently not meriting an individual puzzle piece are pictured on the puzzle board under the shared puzzle piece. First, all the northeast states are lumped together.

He has spent hours putting it together lining the pieces up in alphabetical order and counting and stacking the pieces

He can recall about 30 states and puts them where they go

I wish i couldve found a decent quality puzzle that had every state on its own piece but i do understand that its hard to manufacture the smaller sizes

The outside pieces say the state and have fun pictures and when you see under it has the state capital
