Pros & Cons
Pros
Author conjures up gilded age new york with such sparkle and love, you want to believe it happened just the way he says. Excellently researched and finely written.

Well researched, well structure and a pleasure to read this book. It compresses the time span a bit but mainly for the sake of readability. Fast paced with well defined characters.
Cons
The audible narrator is, for me, the biggest problem. All that edison lacks in the story is a thin mustache that he can twirl.
Highlights
Quality

Competitiveness
As always lots of smaller chapters with a big crescendo in each but a fun way to imagine how important historical figures would... Read More

Tesla came onto the scene as westinghouse’s and cravath’s hope of developing the better light bulb a monopoly buster to edison’s patent
