First when it says plastic wrap it does not mean standard kitchen plastic wrap which will melt into chin rest and no matter what you do it will not come off
I applied this to my chin rest per instructions
I boiled it again to directions and it lost its shape so much that it was very difficult to get back to original shape of smaller on one end
Easily came off my chin rest
