The book starts off with taran once a cowardly assistant pig keeper

This is a great ending to the wonderful series the chronicles of prydain

Well in the end it was still taran who played the biggest role again

It was something that i wouldve never expected or even thought about since taran is just an assistant pigkeeper

Tarans character undergoes massive maturation but the other characters dont get nearly as much development and some facets of the story seem stuck in a rut

Though the author claims it can stand alone as a novel i would not recommend reading it without at least reading taran wanderer first
