Pros
This cooling mat works very well as i have tried it myself. I have a grandson who is very ill and gets very, very hot. He has said that it really helps to keep his body cool as well as his 4 fans and air conditioner.
My golden retriever absolutely loves it. My pup loves it! Doesn't leave to go downstairs to sleep on the cool tiles anymore.
Cons
The texture of the pad is very rubbery, which my dog hated. The cooling effect is minimal if the ambient air is already warm. Spend the extra $30 on a good quality egg crate foam bed.

After summer play they settle on it for 510 minutes and theyre cooled down again

My dog was not too impressed by this mat at first he would not even sitlie down on it

However word of caution this is filled with a gel that reacts to pressureheat an adult kneeled on it for some time to pet the dog and when he got up the corner of the mat where he had kneeled was completely wrinkled and flattened and we could not put it back to its original shape

So maybe avoid putting a lot of pressure all concentrated in a small area to avoid permanent damage
