All tony hillerman stories are well worth reading. I wish the library had more of the series in ebook. Note to hillerman there is a supplement to the kindle book where the author writes about each of his books.

The plot centers around two police officers, one retired joe leaphorn and one active jim chee. Both are navajo policemen on the navajo reservation near four corners, nm.

Breedlove is the fallen man of the title and is dead. In one sentence, when the writer is obviously referring to breedlove, he calls him hal mcdermott. This is my last one and i cant bring myself to finish it.
