Pros
Rip is down to earth; he seems like someone i could be friends with. It isn't understated, but it also isn't overly drawn out and repetitive. Aside from being a fireman, rip makes himself a legend - as the advice on these pages are timeless.
The author cites medical studies and ideas that have persuaded me to try the plant-strong eating style. Too bad for the food and pharmaceutical industries; this book deals them a healthy blow.
Cons
The recipes are just bland and this is a rip-off.
The american cancer society and journal of clinical oncology (and all reputable oncology specialists) are not so sure. It is generally not healthy to eat tofu in large quantities. Would not recommend as a good source for vegan recipes.

If you are a woman, if your ldl-c is low, you are statistically likely to expire earlier.
To eat enough nuts to get a good amount of nut oil would knock me back five hundred calories. Butter has about 224 grams of saturated fat per pound. Very high carb. Get protein from nuts and beans- but not soybeans.
