Quality

In this thrilling historical fiction we take a unique journey with the magi as they traverse changing landscapes and political climates

However i would like to say that i also adore that this is not just another christmas story ending with the birth of yeshua jesus

While it gets a bit long in the middle you still won’t be able to put it down because you are fully engaged with the characters

I am disclosing this in accordance with the ftc regulations

Packaging/appearance

I would highly recommend this book especially with easter right around the corner as it is a perfect read to whet your appetite...  Read More

Myrad was authentic relatable and admirable and the other magi were realistic and engaging

Competitiveness

A baby born in a little land two thousand years ago has more import than all the riches in the world

The reason i didnt opt for a 5star rating was because of the jump cuts

This review is all mine left freely while also sing away in a manger and other chirstmas songs

Myrad disabled and unaccepted now with a price on his head refuses to give up the quest

I loved this book about the events surrounding daniels prophecy of the messiahs birth and death but especially the main character chosen to tell the story an apprentice magi who is caught up in court intrigue and danger

I am hoping the wait for another work isnt too long

The end of the magi is in a way a retelling of the christmas story but it is also the story of christ beyond his birth and therefore it would not have been remiss to add a subtitle the end of the magi a tale of the christ

The author would have perhaps been better served by creating a prologue and also perhaps by dividing the book up into parts

The story is very much a carr story readers familiar with his previous books will notice similarities in characters as well as story elements for example the protagonist travelling with a merchant caravan for protection reminds one of a cast of stones

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

That being said it is not primarily a christmas story

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

While it is true that most of the action of the book concerns the magi’s journey to bethlehem the book goes beyond this to touch on the later life of christ

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

This is perhaps the weakest part of the book not because carr does a poor job of telling the story but because the book is perhaps too short to try to encompass a time span of five hundred plus years
