The dorito effect covers a variety of food and flavoring related topics. Told across nine chapters in an easy to digest manner. Shows how taste plays a large role in what we consume.
The audible is amazing. This is the wakeup call i wish everyone could hear.
It also looks at the science behind cravings and our natural, almost instinctual attraction to certain foods depending on what the body needs in essential nutrients. It's important for not only our own, but our descendants' well-being.
Author redeems the flow by adding in story line to keep the reader engaged. Very convicting of the bad guys without superfluous nastiness. Enlightening and more than a little frightening.
Cons
There are no fantastic revelations in this book. This book sorely lacks footnotes. Not only does this quote reek of snobbery, more importantly, it lacks a footnote.
