The child of anthropologists, this is a very cerebral sci-fish read that dwells more into our potential social frontiers rather than technological. The scientist travels to the planet to spend time working on his theories.
It's thought-provoking and can be mind-opening. Poetic and deeply insightful. A classic. That resounds with me.

Where left hand of darkness is lean and exciting, the dispossessed is full of boring backstory.
There was no evidence of any advanced futuristic technology on either planet. Her feeble attempts at physics and hard sciences is frankly. None of the stringency and reasoning power of, say, asimov.
