Further to recut the pages to make them 34even34 would have possibly required more paper and then wasted paper from the cut

This book is gorgeous not made to be a mass market paperback that falls apart after three or four reads

This book is capable of holding a decent bookmark because of the sewn binding which creates uneven pages
